Bacon Mufti Day
Just a day later than World Cancer Day on 4 February, the school arrived this morning to find the doors of The Blue Pig Café flung open for business.
Enthusiastic and motivated Year 8 salesmen satisfied orderly queues of ravenous boys, sisters, parents and grandparents. Bacon butties, pain au chocolat, hot chocolate and juice disappeared quickly, despite the earlier opening time of 7:45!
No doubt the added chill in the air aided sales, with each purchase made raising more money for the chosen charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust…£300 by 8:30.
To supplement this, the boys and staff, for the princely price of £1, were allowed to come into school in mufti raising another £400+ for the Teenager Cancer Trust.
We thank you for your customary generosity.
