Cold Bacon Butties
Following the recent appalling and icy weather, to see the opening of The Blue Pig Café hove into view was welcome news to boys, parents and staff alike.
As the early morning mist still swirled in the dank March air bleary-eyed boys resplendent in their Blue Pig Café aprons welcomed queues of ravenous customers. With bacon butties, pain au chocolat, juice and chocalat chaud flying off the counters Davenies parents were customarily beneficent as all proceeds are donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
As boys drifted into lessons, parents faced the reality of going to work and Year 8 mums cleared away, the Teenage Cancer Trust were suddenly £300 better off: thank you for supporting this event, again.
