Getting the year off to a creative start!
Year 8 got the term off to a creative start, participating in a two day ceramic bowl making workshop run by Mrs Newell. This was an ideal opportunity to practise and apply the foundation of 3D design to ceramic and sculptural art using a variety of materials and processes. The boys had to navigate and refine their creative skills which enhanced their critical thinking. This resulted in the creation of a number of exquisite ‘swirl’ bowls as inspired by the coil pots of Ancient Greece and Rome. The bowls will be bisque fired and the boys will then eventually glaze them. A brilliant effort by all, well done boys.
