Alternative Curricular Experience
The Alternative Curricular Experience (ACE) forms an essential aspect of a Davenies education. All year groups have the opportunity to go on school trips throughout the year; taking learning outside the classroom engages and inspires the boys to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills.
To support the work done in the classroom, we make the most of every opportunity to visit places of educational interest, as well as inviting speakers and workshops into school, to further learning and encourage follow-up work in the classroom.
Years 4 to 8 also undertake residential trips, both home and abroad, to enhance the curriculum. There are also a range of extra-curricular residential trips available to the boys.
