New Millionaire and Muti-Millioniare Readers
During the Easter break, boys have read and quizzed more over the holidays than ever before, which is a real positive in such challenging times. Three boys have broken through the five million word barrier; well done to Mattie Gemmell, Aidan Khanna and Charlie Ham. We have also welcomed 16 new millionaires: Matthew Brown, Eric Louis, Harvey Golledge, Will Lomax, Jack Patterson, Archie McDermott, Oscar Mendes da Costa, Joshua Roetjens, Matthew Costa d’ Sa and Yagnesh Patel.
Reading at this time of uncertainty and closed doors has taken on a new level of importance. With the boys unable to go off on their own adventures, reading can take them on an expedition of wonder, exploration and imagination that will not only help them in these times, but stay with them all their lives. It is wonderful to see them as engaged and enthusiastic as ever about reading.
