The School Council half-termly meeting
The School Council met this week for their half-termly meeting. Over lunch, the meetings give the School Council reps an opportunity to bring to the table issues that have been raised by their forms, issues that boys recognise as being a possible enhancement for their day to day life at School.
As is anticipated, the meetings conjure up animated discussions about the issues raised, some historical and still under discussion and some new requests. For this meeting, the most popular subject was the Astro and how it could be more effectively used at break and lunchtimes to ensure that all Prep School boys get chance to stretch their legs and spent time playing games. The role of Peer Mentors was discussed in response to questions regarding day-to-day support for the boys and a new range of extra-curricular clubs were requested, something that is always a hot topic and will go onto the suggestions list for next term’s programme.
Thank you to the School Council reps, all of whom made valuable suggestions and participated with enthusiasm, their suggestions and views contribute to the smooth running of the School. We look forward to the next meeting!
