Year 4 have a class adventure
Year 4 spent the majority of the week being intrepid adventurers in the Peak District.
The aim of the week was to help build independence, encourage team-building and to teach the boys new skills.
A three-day action packed programme helped to facilitate all of these things along with numerous jars of chocolate spread! Filled with enthusiasm the boys approached every activity with gusto and bravery. Those who were apprehensive about some of the more challenging activities, such as the rock climbing, showed true grit on the rock and were cheered on heartily by their team mates. Although there was rain, it did not dampen spirits – during the raft building the boys even wanted to jump in!
Throughout the week the boys showed so much kindness to each other; offering to lend items of clothing, comforting each other if they were missing home, sharing out insect repellent when it was needed, helping each other when it came to 'the big clean up' and reassuring each other when they were unsure about an activity. A fantastic week had by all, well done boys!
