Delivering Christmas Cheer to Care Home
Following rave reviews of his virtual concert for residents at a local Care Home earlier in the year, Raif was invited ‘back’ to perform a Christmas concert for Leonard Cheshire via Zoom.
Owing to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Buckinghamshire was plunged into Tier 4 restrictions, meaning households could not mix for the Christmas period, and residents in Care Homes were unable to welcome visitors. Year 4 pupil Raif, however, was on hand to perform for residents and staff at Leonard Cheshire via Zoom, bringing some much needed Christmas cheer to their celebrations.
During the holiday break, Raif and his younger brother Danyal, in Year 2, also organised a collection of Afternoon Tea goodies, where neighbours and friends dropped off their donations at the boys’ driveway for Raif and Danyal to put together into hampers. In total, six Afternoon Tea hampers were delivered to Leonard Cheshire for residents and staff to enjoy on Christmas Day.
