Pre-Prep Batters-bees
Bottle tops, tin cans and other materials found around the home were put to good use when the Pre-Prep made their very own ‘Batters-bees’ during lockdown.
Drawing on their creativity and recycling skills, Pre-Prep were set the task of creating their very own bee from materials found around the home. Bees represent community and are the inspiration behind the School’s motto: singulus pro fraternitate laborans, meaning “each striving for the good of all”. Bees of all shapes and sizes were produced from items such as tin cans, toilet roll tubes, bottle tops and the like and photos of each boy holding his very own “Batters-bee” (inspired by our very own Head of Pre-Prep, Mrs Battersby) have been pieced together in a hive pattern, which is now on display in the Jubilee Building. The boys demonstrated enthusiasm, courage and perseverance in abundance during such a challenging time and we hope this montage will act as a reminder in years to come of their exemplary positive spirit.
