Reception Venture to the Deep Dark Woods

Reception were Gruffalo adventurers for the day at Shortenills Adventure Learning Centre.

The weather did not deter our brave explorers in the deep dark woods who followed the Gruffalo footprints, discovering animals from the story along the way. On finding the Gruffalo himself, the boys found him to be friendly and learned it was his birthday! In celebration, they made mud cakes and created some Gruffalo-inspired art using sticks, pine cones and leaves to make a Gruffalo picture.

Reception returned to Davenies a little damp and muddy but very happy to have found the Gruffalo.
