We’re Here for You!
With school closure owing once again to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Davenies Digital Learning is back as we commence the Lent Term 2021 remotely.
Direct from the Headmaster’s Study, Mrs Battersby, Head of Pre-Prep, led the start of term assembly for the whole school and welcomed boys and staff to Davenies Digital Learning for the new term. In the assembly, Mrs Battersby reassured the Davenies community that although some may be feeling anxious about the coming weeks, and the challenges that arise in national lockdown, technology affords us the opportunity to talk to and reach out to one another, wherever we may be:
“…Please remember, that your teachers are there. Myself, and the rest of the Pastoral Team – that’s Mr Stephenson, Mr Fearon and Mr Sergeant – are all still here to help you. We can talk to you over Teams, we can even talk to you over the phone, if you want…”
As learning moves remotely once again, Mrs Battersby praised the boys’ courage, enthusiasm and perseverance demonstrated in the first national lockdown, and has no doubt that these approaches will be evident in coming weeks.
Mrs Battersby heads up our start of term assembly with this reassuring message for anyone feeling slightly worried about the coming weeks – welcome “back”! 💻🖥 #engageinspirechallenge #remotelearning #wevegotthis #DaveniesDigitalLearning pic.twitter.com/n2wFWVTSnE
