Year 7 Bushcraft

Our adventurers in Year 7 spent the start of their Senior School journey getting to know one another by learning some vital Bushcraft skills in the Oxfordshire countryside…

Year 7 enjoyed a wonderful start to their time in the Senior School with a three-day Bushcraft camping trip in Blenheim Woods. This was a fantastic opportunity to welcome in new boys and to strengthen existing bonds by spending fun, quality time together. Boys were able to enjoy nature, learn new skills and develop their leadership and teamwork capabilities. Activities included Camouflage and Concealment, fire lighting, knife skills, trap setting, SOS First Aid, shelter building and a range of team games and campfire camaraderie.

Despite returning home a little dirty and tired, the boys all enjoyed their time together and should be congratulated for their positivity, support for one another and excellent conduct whilst representing the school.
