It’s Kick-Off for the Rugby Season

Wednesday afternoon marked the highly anticipated start of the rugby season for our senior sides, including the Colts teams from Year 6, who delivered an exciting display.

The boys travelled to Old Windsor, where they faced formidable opposition from St John’s Beaumont and Caldicott. With the sun shining brightly, it was a perfect day for rugby, and our teams delivered an exciting display of attacking prowess.

All four Colts teams showed exceptional skill, scoring a wealth of tries while adapting brilliantly to the physical demands and warm conditions. Recent training sessions have focused on enhancing defensive contact skills and fast-paced, attacking rugby. These elements were executed to perfection, as the boys demonstrated both their defensive resilience and ability to move the ball fluidly.

Notable performances from Mr Burrell’s squad came from Luke and Charlie, whose powerful and elusive running broke through the opposition’s defence time and again. Armaan, Henry, and Mishay also stood out for their bravery and determination in defence, making crucial tackles and showcasing their tenacity.

The entire Year 6 cohort should be proud of their performance and look forward to building on this success in their next fixture against Chesham Prep in a week’s time.
