Book Fair: Read All About It!

Not content with one day of celebration, our busy World Book Week in the Library finished with a Book Fair, promoting reading for pleasure. 

The Book Fair, organised in conjunction with Usborne, encouraged the boys to read more broadly, enabling them to explore exciting new titles and choose their favourites. Boys in Years 1-4 had the opportunity to visit the pop-up library during the school day, with their teachers before it was opened to parents at pick-up where trade was brisk, followed by a large number of online sales too. Owing to the incredible support, the Book Fair was a roaring success and we are delighted that 60% of sales will be coming back to Davenies in the form of new books. Our Librarian, Mrs Prentice, is very much looking forward to re-stocking our Pre-Prep Library, ready to engage the boys further in their reading in the Summer Term.
