Davenies & High March Duathlon Delight

Originally scheduled for October but postponed due to poor weather, the much-anticipated annual Duathlon between Davenies and High March finally took place this term. Excitement filled the air as the participants carried out their pre-race checks and walked the course, ready to give it their all.

Each race featured 12 competitors, with teams made up of three boys and three girls. The combination of running and cycling led to thrilling contests, strategic racing, and plenty of determination. Across the three races, individual medals were evenly shared, with both Davenies and High March securing four each.

In the Year 4 race, Thomas S took bronze, Elliot R claimed silver, and Finley T earned gold, while Team Panthers secured the team victory. Year 5 saw Monty W win bronze, Harriet S take silver, and Kyle F grab gold, with Team Cheetahs triumphing overall. Finally, in Year 6, Alice R secured bronze, Evie S took silver, and Iris J won gold, while Team Jaguars claimed the team prize.

The Duathlon is always a highlight of the sporting calendar, eagerly anticipated by participants and well supported by both Davenies and High March parents. Events with High March are always competitive yet friendly, fostering great sportsmanship and camaraderie.
