“I’m Santa, Get Me Out of Here!”

Our Thinking Adventure started somewhat surprisingly as, unfortunately, Santa got lost in the jungle and in order to get him back to North Pole, boys in Years 2, 3 and 4 had to obtain as many sleigh bells as possible by completing a series of tasks…

Boys in Years 2-4 set off around school in their groups to complete and vast array of challenges to earn bells for their group.  They had to exhibit the Davenies Code while doing these challenges – listening, working well in a team, being helpful and keeping to a timetable. Challenges were varied from icing biscuits and putting in boxes that they had to make up, Elf assault courses, moving cups with balloons and using wheelbarrows to collect and deliver parcels. Much fun and laughter was had which culminated with an appearance of Kiosk Kev (aka the Headmaster) with an impressive Aussie accent. He offered sweets as a prize for answering whether or not 3029 or 3129 boys had gone through school since Mr Rycroft joined. Fortunately for the boys they chose 3029 and won the sweets and left the staff disappointed who would have won them if the boys had chosen incorrectly!
