Junior School Enjoy Upgraded Play Equipment

The new academic year saw the upgrade of the Junior School play equipment, paving the way for an even more inclusive breaktime.

Community and inclusivity is at the heart of Davenies, both in and out of the classroom and the summer holiday was the perfect time to apply this to the Junior School playground which saw a complete facelift ready for the boys’ return in September. Catering to the taste and diversity of all our boys, the upgraded playground now boasts areas to climb, to balance, to swing and to play imaginative games. For those wanting a quieter pace at breaktime, there are dedicated areas to read or enjoy a board game with friends, and added to all of this, boys can now also take part in a wider variety sports, including cricket and football owing to the extended flat space, as well as basketball on the area’s own hoop and mini court.

With a variety of tastes accounted for, the boys have wasted no time enjoying the upgraded play equipment at break and lunch!
