Performing Outside the Bach

Our second Lunchtime Concert of the Autumn Term entertained with traditional and popular songs, as well as an impressive German Lieder piece by Brahms.

The audience was treated to some fantastic piano performances from some of our Junior boys, display their range and ability on this technical instrument, whilst a fun and lively arrangement of ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ on the cello got everyone’s foot tapping. Ashwin, one of our senior music scholars, wowed with a performance from the ‘Four Seasons’ by Vivaldi on the violin. The Concert concluded, all to soon, with our Senior Chorale singing the very challenging piece ‘The Rhythm of Life’ from Sweet Charity, by Cy Coleman.

Well done to all of our talented and courageous performers for yet another excellent performance from everyone. A special thank you goes to our instrumental teachers for always striving to ensure that the boys enjoy music and perform to the best of their abilities.
