Davenies School

Stop Motion at Stowe

Four Davenies artists attended the Stowe Prep School Arts Festival for a day of animated filmmaking.

Along with pupils from other schools, Barney, Eliah, Jake and Krishan spent the day at Stowe, where they enjoyed art workshops around the theme ‘Under the Sea’. It was a fantastic opportunity for our boys to spend the day at a senior school and learn new skills to develop their art further.

Of the experience, Krishan said:

“Me, Barney, Jake, Eliah and Mrs Newell went to the Stowe art festival. When we got there we made a plan about doing an underwater animation. After we did the plan, we made all the objects out of plasticine and tin foil. We put them into a scene  and did our animation, which used 220 photos out of 240 the maximum. We all had a lot of fun! Thanks, Mrs Newell for taking us!”
