Year 5 Set Goals for Middle School
Boys in Year 5 began their Middle School journey by meeting with mentors to reflect on their own character and think of goals and values that are important to them as they move up the School.
As part of their Middle School experience, boys at Davenies have the opportunity to focus on character development and building confidence in talking about themselves, as well as reflecting on strengths and achievements. Marking the first of five impact days across Years 5 and 6, mentors from Oppidan – the market leader for personal development in young people – met with boys in Year 5 to support their transition to Middle School by helping them think of values that are important to them as well as set goals that the boys would like to achieve during their time in Years 5 and 6.
Oppidan’s course and team of mentors complement the work we do in school to instil the key character skills for success in senior school applications through a series of bespoke character development courses and further impact days will focus on teamwork, communication and interview practice.
