Year 6 Collaborate with High March
Year 6 Davenies boys joined forces with their counterparts from High March for an exciting initiative to hone the children’s interview technique at this juncture in their educational journey.
Marking the first of two collaborative events with High March, we were delighted to welcome the girls and staff to Davenies bringing together our Year 6 children to participate in a range of different activities to develop collaboration and confidence. These included debating some challenging ‘thunks’, solving logic problems, discussing hidden meanings in picture prompts, sharing the stories of objects brought from home, as well as a 1:1 interview with a member of staff from High March for the boys or Davenies for the girls.
The children worked brilliantly throughout the afternoon. Staff were impressed by their enthusiasm, authenticity, and all-round positivity. All of which bode very well for senior school interviews in the not-so-distant future, as well as for interviews beyond school.
