Mother’s Day Tea

Boys in the Pre-Prep welcomed their mothers and mother figures into school for the highly anticipated Mother’s Day Tea, which saw them treated to special treats.

The boys proudly led their mothers to the beautifully decorated tables and presented them with their cards and gifts. The obvious delight and appreciation was apparent judging by all the smiles! The afternoon then kicked off with the whole Pre-Prep belting out ‘It’s Mother’s Day’ eliciting smiles from everyone involved. This was swiftly followed by Reception singing ‘What will I give?’ to a chorus of ‘ooh’s and aah’s’ and possibly some tears as they acted out their presents with huge grins on their faces.  Year 1 were up next with ‘Thanks for a million brilliant things’ where they sang proudly about the freedom to be themselves. Year 2 Choir wowed the crowd with their three-part harmony of ‘Sing yourself a happy song’ before the rest of Year 2 joined them to sing ‘Spread a little happiness.’ The afternoon was topped off with ‘It’s the little things’ where the boys sang about appreciating the little things in life that can make us feel good!

The Mother’s Day Tea was the perfect opportunity for the boys to show their appreciation for all that their mums and mother figures do for them.
