Grafitti Workshop
Tuesday 1st July was our annual ‘moving up’ day. Boys had the opportunity to spend some in their new classroom with their new teachers and, in some cases, new classmates. We were incredibly impressed with how well all of the boys approached and handled the new experiences. It is a big moment for all boys, which signals the end of another school year, and is espically significant for our boys finishing their Pre-Prep years and those moving from Year 6 to Year 7.
Year 7 certainly had a day to remember. They took part in a range of activities with one of their favourites being the grafitti workshop. They were shown the art of spray painting, thanks to a visiting grafitti artist, and then turned their hand to creating their own masterpieces. This was a fantastic teamwork opportunity, but also allowed the boys to express themselves by creating their own unique pieces. With thanks to Mr Sergeant and his team for introducing the boys to life in Year 7 and to Mrs Newell for overseeing our newest Davenies grafitti artists!
