Orchestral Day at Haileybury

A group of our instrumentalists here at Davenies had the pleasure of attending an Orchestral Day at Haileybury. The boys rehearsed and learnt arrangements including, the Star Wars theme tune, ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked, and Gustav Holst’s ‘Mars’ from the planets suite. This was led by the Haileybury Head of Music, Mr Richard Brain, who’s exuberant energy and engagement really helped the students perform to the best of their abilities. The boys collaborated with children from other Preparatory Schools from beginners to grade 8, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
