Action-Packed Author Visit

Boys in Years 3-7 were treated to a return visit by one of our favourite best-selling authors, Chris Bradford, who demonstrated his skill with a samurai sword and talked about the inspiration behind his popular Young Samurai series.

Chris’s books, including the Young Samurai and Ninja series, appeal across the age range and are perennially popular with Davenies boys. Chris, dressed in his samurai outfit, describes himself as a ‘method writer’ and he gave a fascinating, funny and at times hair-raising presentation about his books and about his interest in martial arts. The boys were spellbound by his stories and demonstrations, with the boys in the front-row narrowly escaping an unintended haircut when the samurai sword came out. After the presentation, Chris chatted with the boys and signed books and posters for them.
