OD and Former Parents Drinks Reception

Davenies welcomed a mixture of current and former parents, plus Old Davenians at the impressive Battle of Britain suite in the RAF Club in London for an evening of catching up and memory sharing.

On a Wednesday evening in Piccadilly, Davenies welcomed former pupils and former parents to the RAF Club where we were delighted to see a number of Old Davenians using this as an opportunity to arrange their own reunion. Their joy at seeing the familiar faces from their time at Davenies, including teachers, and being able to update the School about the qualifications they have gained since leaving and the career path they have chosen, was a particular highlight. Drink flowed and the room buzzed with happy chatter as parents and former pupils renewed relationships forged over time, and shared happy memories. The Headmaster updated attendees on news from the School, including successes on the Sports field, and with recent competitions and trips. He also spoke about the plans for a new Science and Technology building to be situated in the heart of the School, and which will enhance and increase the teaching provision for these important subjects.

All too soon the evening drew to a close and we bid farewell after a very successful inaugural Davenies event in London.
