Communication is Key in Year 5

Year 5 began their Middle School journey by welcoming Oppidan Education for a day focused on developing key communication skills for the first stage of thier Prep School Transition Journey.

Year 5’s 1:1 interview and communication workshop focused on fostering the boys’ confidence, communication and self-reflection skills. They spent time meeting the inspiring team of mentors and engaged in workshops designed to support their transition to Middle School, including practicing key interview techniques and develop key communication skills. In their session, Year 5 received targeted feedback and clear next steps from their mentors on how to further hone their interview and communication skills.

Underpinning the tasks that the boys participated in is our Davenies Code, as a reminder and focus for the year ahead. The Oppidan Programme aligns with our values, and throughout the course Davenies will continue to collaborate with Oppidan to further the boys’ social and emotional development.
