Inter-House Cross Country 2022
This year’s Inter-House Cross Country proved damp under foot and wet overhead! However, the races were competitive and the House spirit for which these events are renowned was alive and kicking.
The running conditions were not ideal, with plenty of slippery sections to negotiate after the heavy rain of recent days. Those that took the advice to run in boots or spikes fared better! Races for Years 3, 4 and 5 took place on Davenies’ fields with all boys finishing strongly, if a little tired. The Senior races for Years 6, 7 and 8 started at St. Mary’s and finished at Davenies. Although flat, the length of the course stretched the field to allow the front runners to showcase their talent and all finishers to demonstrate their good efforts, resilience and House spirit.
Congratulations to the individual medal winners and to Shackleton who, not for the first time, completed the double by winning both Junior and Senior Cross Country trophies.
