Reception Become Garden Explorers

Despite some damp weather, Reception did not let this hinder their enthusiasm as they relished the opportunity to be garden explorers in the beautiful grounds at Waddesdon Manor.

The boys arrived in the rain but, with waterproofs and wellies at the ready, the wet weather took a break whilst Reception learnt about the life cycles of insects. The boys then discussed what it is plants need to grow and planted their very own cress seeds in cotton wool, which they could take home. Reception then looked at the exotic birds in the aviary, including the very rare Waddesdon Myner birds. After a much-needed lunch, the afternoon was spent in the dry decorating spring baubles with pens and special stickers.

Reception all had a fantastic day!
