Reception Visit the RAF Museum!

On Tuesday, Reception headed to the RAF Museum in Hendon.

At the museum boys explored the differences between early flying machines and the modern streamlined jets in use by pilots today. They took part in a workshop called ‘Fantastic Flight’ where they learnt so much about the evolution of flight from the very first aircraft, invented by the Wright brothers, which flew for 12 seconds, to the stealth lightning jet in use today that can fly up to 1200 mph. The boys thoroughly enjoyed exploring the various flying machines old and new.

After their workshop, the boys also had time to look around the museum, exploring other exhibits on offer. We mustn’t forget the opportunity to let off some steam on the playground in the glorious sunshine!

It is always such an adventure going on a school trip – we hope the boys went home to their parents full of stories and enthusiasm!
