Swimmers Dive into First Division 10 Gala

Davenies’ swimmers had a fantastic start to the swimming season with multiple podium finishes at their first competitive Division 10 Gala of the year.

You wouldn’t have been surprised if our Swimming Gala on Tuesday evening had been hosted outside, given the amount of rain we’ve had over the past week! However, it was Maltman’s Green that played host to our first Division 10 Swimming Gala of the academic year.

Boys from Years 4, 5, and 6 faced off against pupils from Gayhurst and Aldwickbury in fiercely competitive races. Throughout the evening, Davenies secured a place on the podium 19 times, taking home the gold on nine occasions – a truly fantastic effort and a brilliant start to the 2024/25 swimming league season.

Mr Locke-Hart was full of praise for all the participants and is eagerly looking forward to our next Swimming Gala.
