Making Music at Wellington

Some of our musicians had the pleasure of taking part in the annual Prep Schools Orchestral Day at Wellington College where they enjoyed being part of a larger orchestra.

Angus, Ashwin, Ben, Cillian, Eliah and Finn began the day with small and large sectional rehearsals around their campus followed by whole orchestra rehearsals conducted by Natalia Luis-Bassa. The day was concluded with the concert itself in their iconic GW Annenberg Theatre, and all of the musicians involved performed to a very high standard indeed. Pieces played were Mahler’s ‘Symphony No.1’, ‘Bare Necessities’ from the Jungle Book, and ‘Dvorak 8’. Parents and loved ones came to support the boys and thoroughly enjoyed the performances.

A special day of music indeed!
