DAS Tenner Challenge

Putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test, Year 8 have been been undertaking the “Tenner Challenge” to see if their company can generate the most profit for the House charities.

As part of their enrichment programme, the Davenies Award Scheme, Year 8 learnt about product design and the ‘Four Ps’ of marketing, before developing their own product, creating an advertising campaign and presenting their idea, in a Dragons’ Den style, laying the foundations for the Tenner Challenge. After investing £10 and creating  a product to market and sell, with all proceeds being shared equally amongst the House Charities, the boys’ first sale was a huge success, with five companies showing off their product to Davenies Community, including dog biscuits, hand-made bee keyrings, insect magnets, fidget toys and Lego accessories.

The boys have loved the challenge and have shown some excellent entrepreneurial skills.
