Year 1 Visit Rushall Farm
Year 1 embarked on a brilliant trip to Rushall Farm, where not even the rain could diminish their enthusiasm for learning about food production.
This engaging adventure was inspired by the literary classic, The Little Red Hen, as the boys eagerly sought to replicate the hen’s efforts by trying their hand at grinding wheat. A clear highlight of the day’s activities was the exciting tractor ride through the woods, which led to an encounter with the farm’s cow and their calves. Beyond the tractor ride, the boys relished the opportunity to feed the farm’s friendly chickens and learn about sheep and turkeys. The experience brought boys closer to the heart of farm life and fostered a sense of responsibility and kindness towards animals.
