Festive Thinking Adventure

To the dismay of children across the globe, Santa found himself lost in the jungle and in order to get him back to the North Pole, boys at Davenies faced the challenge of gaining sleigh bells upon completing a series of tasks…

Boys in Years 2, 3 and 4 had an exciting morning competing in mixed teams to take part in ‘I’m Santa, Get Me Out of Here!’ They had eight tasks to take part in from making snowmen out of marshmallows, completing an assault course, meeting and learning about reindeer, trying to bounce ping pong balls into egg boxes as well as building a Christmas parcel tower after collecting a parcel in a wheelbarrow! Following the Davenies Code – to be kind, honest, polite, thoughtful and respectful – during the tasks, the teams were awarded bells. Boys were then challenged by “Kiosk Kev” to decide how many days the Headmaster had been alive – the boys chose correctly, resulting in them being crowned the winners and Santa was able to make his way back to the North Pole in time for Christmas Eve!
