Year 2’s Rainforest Adventure.

Year 2 had a fantastic time last week at The Living Rainforest. They have been learning all about Rainforests this half term and the trip provided them with the opportunity to see first-hand some of the plants and animals that live in such habitats.

Through their ‘Amazing Adaptations’ tour, the boys learnt about how the living animalsn and plants have adapted to thrive in such an environment. The boys came across one of the smelliest plants in the world which had just flowered and so was particularly pungent! They also enjoyed spotting frogs who are experts at camouflage, a wide range of bird species and trying to find the sleepy sloth!!!

The trip also supports their Science topic later this term about living things and their habitats.
