A Baarmy Night in Blethlehem
Led by boys in Year 2, the Pre-Prep imaginatively told the story of the birth of Christ through heartfelt singing and acting for this year’s Nativity performance, which saw three sheep searching for a party…
It was Baarmy Night in Bethlehem as people gathered for the Census and three ‘Party Animals’ searched for a party! What they found instead was an event which brought ‘Peace’, ‘Quiet’ and ‘Joy’ to everyone as a saviour was born. An event which our enthusiastic sheep, of course, celebrated with a party!
Year 2 loved learning their lines and the songs, for which their teachers are extremely proud of the way they all performed gusto; from the mighty Caesar to the grumpy camels, every role is a piece of the puzzle that makes the whole show work. Of course, Year 2 were also ably supported by Reception and Year 1 in their fantastic costumes and with heartfelt singing. It is amazing to reflect that in two years’ time those little Reception boys who stole the hearts of the audience by simply walking into the PAC, will ,in two years’ time, be taking to the stage themselves and performing with such confidence!
Well done to all involved – what a marvellous way to end the term and start the Christmas festivities!
