Junior School Christingle Service
The Junior School’s Christingle performance was a joyous event with lovely singing from each boy to celebrate the meaning of Christmas.
The service, at St Mary’s and All Saints church, began with Year 4 solos from Neil Banerjee , Keyaan Pal, Dhruv Ramrakha, and Charlie Walsh with the hymn ‘Once in Royal David’s City’ as our Christingle bearers entered the Church.
Xander Arentz, Sebastian Wolfenden, and Aaryan Vadher, all in Year 3, performed wonderful solos from ‘We Three Kings’. Highlights of the Christingle service also included all the Year 3 and 4 boys singing Graham Kendrick’s beautiful ‘Like a Candle Flame’ in harmony, Year 4’s ‘The Angels Sang Their Story’ together with the Junior Handbells, and the four-part round ‘Decorate’ composed by our very own Head of Music, Mr Pegden, which did not fail to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
Every hymn gave each boy the opportunity to shine in this unique and thrilling service and we are thrilled to have had the Davenies community join us in celebration.
