Internet Safety Week

In the lead up to Internet Safety Week, Year 3 and 4 focused on the impact of different types of malwares that can ‘infect’ computers. They learnt about how worms, viruses, trojans and spyware all differ in their approach, however all can all have devastating effects on the computer. The boys also discussed the ways in which the boys can prevent malwares from attacking their computers. The main takeaway was to use their common sense: not to open or download any links that aren’t from a reliable source; to only open attachments on emails that come from someone they know; to ask for teachers’ or parents’ advice and permission if they are unsure about anything. The boys enjoyed the topic so much that the lesson spanned several weeks and they created these posters below to explain what malwares are and how to protect your computer against them.
